Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us! There’s a miracle called -Friendship- that dwells in the heart. You don’t know how it happens or when it gets started. But you know the special lift it always brings and you realize that Friendship is one of God’s most precious gifts!
How else can we build friendship amongst the relationships around us?
By being a good friend we make and develop good friends in others. A good friend tends to have a character known for openness, genuineness, empathy and less of self-absorbing nature. Naturally speaking we have a tendency to be selfish and less considerate of other peoples’ feelings; but the Bible teaches us to firstly love God with all of our heart, strength and might AND that we should love our neighbours as ourselves. It is a great command worthy to pray about. Indeed, we will be found doing God’s will in that.
